The TransPort PT878 flow meter can measure flow from the outside of plastic, metal or concrete lined pipes with no pressure drop, leaks or contamination. The flow meter also has a built in data logger and the option to have a built in ultrasonic thickness gauge. The data logger has the ability to store 100,000 data points as well as 32 sets of site location parameters.

The patented Correlation Transit-Time™ digital signal processing technique is able to give accurate flow measurements with liquids that contain a second phase of solids or bubbles because it increases the signal to noise ratio.

Additional features for the TransPort PT878 include the aforementioned built in data logger, the optional built in ultrasonic thickness gauge, the optional RTDs for energy flow measurement, noninvasive clamp-on or wetted transducers, a flow range of .1 to 40 ft/s (.03 to 12.2 m/s) and velocity, energy and totalized flows.
