Dell XPS 14z Notebook Review

Dell XPS 14z Notebook Review

Welcome to a Biomedical Battery specialist of the DELL Laptop Battery

Earlier this year, we took a long, hard look at one of Dell's most highly-anticipated multimedia notebooks to date. That was the XPS 15z with battery such as DELL Y9N00 Battery, DELL PKH18 Battery, DELL WV7G0 Battery, DELL 489XN Battery, DELL XPS L321X Battery, DELL XPS 13-L322X Battery, DELL 75WY2 Battery, DELL NMV5C Battery, DELL XPS L511X Battery, DELL XPS 15Z Battery, DELL XPS L511Z Battery, DELL XPS 15Z-7777 Battery, and we thought pretty highly of it in almost every measurable way, including its delightfully thin dimensions. Fast forward a few months, and in slides the XPS 14z. According to its branding, this unit is just a single number different than the XPS 15z, and if you didn't know any better, you'd just assume that someone took a shrink-ray to the 15z. Indeed, the 14z really is just a small 15z in some ways, but by the same token, that's something that hasn't really existed outside of HP's Envy 14 and Sony's VAIO SA line. Sub-15" multimedia capable notebooks aren't exactly easy to come by, and most of them make pretty big sacrifices on performance somewhere along the way.

The 14z is Dell's "thinnest, fully-featured 14" laptop with an internal optical drive." That's a lot of qualifications, but one thing is clear: it's thin, it's compact, and it packs a punch for the size. LG's Shuriken display is one of the standout features here, enabling a 14" display to be crammed into a 13" form factor. How so? There's barely a bezel. The display stretches almost entirely from edge to edge. In other words, the dimensions here resemble that of similar 13" notebooks, but you're getting a 14" display. Unfortunately, Dell doesn't do a lot to really take advantage of it. There's only a single screen resolution option -- 1366x768 -- which is the same as found on many 12" and 13" machines. In other words, you aren't actually gaining any screen real estate with this in terms of pixel density, but it does make it a bit easier to see fonts and such without squinting. There's still no question that this machine is serving a niche. If you're in the market for a gaming-capable notebook, but you'd prefer the form factor more closely associated with an ultraportable, the XPS 14z is a worthy option.

Let's not beat around the bush: Metro 2033 is an intense game. And we aren't just talking about gameplay. It's a title that seriously taxes a machine, and it requires serious hardware to run this title well. The CPU on the XPS 14z was probably ready for the task, but its lower-end NVIDIA Geforce GT 520M isn't exactly powerhouse. This is one of the compromises Dell had to make to keep heat and cost down.

BatteryEater Pro tends to measure worst case scenarios, in that it doesn't really take into consideration power saving features, instead loading up the system until it dies out. It runs a spinning graphic constantly until the battery dies. We keep our test machines with Wi-Fi on, and screen brightness hovering at 50% for the life of the test.

A 58WHr, 8-cell battery is pretty impressive for a machine of this stature. There's no battery bulge, either. The XPS 14z managed to last just over two hours in our rigorous battery rundown test, which loops a graphic in BatteryEaterPro with screen brightness at 50% and Wi-Fi on. It handily beat the XPS 15z's battery, and while it's certainly not netbook-level longevity, it's pretty solid for a taxed Core i5 and discrete GPU. Just browsing the web or firing off emails should net you a lot longer uptime as well.

The XPS 14z is a dead-ringer for the 15z. If you enjoyed that design, you'll enjoy this one. Plenty of metal, plenty of smooth edges. That said, Dell missed perfection somewhat by refusing to say no to three senseless stickers on the palm rest, and not having a single USB port on either edge of the machine. We generally appreciate having the IO ports in the rear, but there needs to be an additional 1-2 USB ports on one of the side edges for quick USB flash drive transfers.

The biggest problem with the XPS 14z, outside of the horrific bloatware load that it ships with, is another 14z in Dell's line: the Inspiron 14z. While that machine is certainly not as sexy, it can be customized with similar specifications for less money -- oftentimes much less. The Inspiron 14z starts at just $600; the XPS 14z starts at $1000. That's a major price gap, and while the 14z performed well, the excess fan noise, awkward port layout and non-high res display make the price premium somewhat tough to justify.

Dell's XPS 14z is a solid little machine, and it'll certainly serve its customers well, but it's just a little too pricey with some of its shortcomings. Gamers will want more than a lowly GT520M, and bargain hunters will demand a lower price from a 14" machine. In a way, the XPS 14z stuck between a rock and a hard place, though it's well-built, a pleasure to use and very easy on the eyes.

Dell Chromebook 11 3120 Laptop

Welcome to a Biomedical Battery specialist of the DELL Laptop Battery

Design

The Dell Chromebook 11 3120 with battery like DELL 5K9CP Battery, DELL 90V7W Battery, DELL DIN02 Battery, DELL JD25G Battery, DELL RWT1R Battery, DELL XPS 13 9343 Battery, DELL XPS 13 9350 Battery, DELL 5R9DD Battery, DELL KTCCN Battery, DELL XKPD0 Battery, DELL Chromebook 11 3120 Battery, DELL Chromebook 3120 Battery, isn’t going to win any beauty pageants anytime soon. It is a all black and grey design, which I like because it’s business like. The materials are high quality plastic, and feel like they will stand up to a lot of abuse. Dell says the Dell Chromebook 11 is military spec rated and should stand up to water, dust, drop impact etc.  It also comes with a built in activity light designed for students in a classroom environment.

Portability

The Dell Chromebook 11 is pretty light, weighing under 3 pounds, and is pretty thin as well. It is light and thin enough to be carried around comfortably.

Performance

The Dell Chromebook 11 is pretty snappy. When you open the lid, it turns on instantly. The model I have has a Intel N2840, which is like a trimmed down i3. It has 4GB of ram, and a 16GB of storage. The speakers sound pretty good.

Keyboard

The keyboard is alright to type on, and is good for especially student typing essays. it is nowhere near the quality of my Lenovo X1 carbon’s keyboard.

Display

The display on the Dell Chromebook 11 is a 1366×768 TN display. It is good for all-around things like web browsing, etc. However, if you are looking to use it for photography, you’ll need to go elsewhere.

Ports

The Dell Chromebook 11 3120 comes with 2 USB ports, 1 HDMI port, audio jack, an SD card reader and a Kensington lock, which is nice.

Software

The Dell Chromebook 11 comes with Chrome OS, that is just the Chrome browser basically, but with added system functions. The Dell Chromebook comes with a toggle for the activity built in light that’s designed for students for the classroom. The light features 3 color lights, one for students raising their hand, question, and discussion.
Price:
The Dell Chromebook 11 3120 is configuable on Dell’s website, and starts off at around $220 for the 2GB RAM model, and goes up to around $300 for the touchscreen IPS model with 4GB of ram.

Overall

The Dell Chromebook 11 3120 is an excellent, solid Chromebook for students, business users or anyone seeking a second computer.  If you however require specific Windows software and do alot of offline related work, you will need to buy a Windows laptop.

Dell Alienware 15 Series Laptop

Dell Alienware 15 Series Laptop

Welcome to a Biomedical Battery specialist of the DELL Laptop Battery

Alienware has just re-jigged its gaming laptop offering, ditching its 18-inch and 14-inch models and replacing them with new slimmer 15-inch and 17-inch variants, to add to the Alienware 13 that arrived last year.

Packing the latest Intel processors, top-spec graphics cards and high-quality screens, they’re every bit the premium laptops you’d expect. Plus they both support Alienware’s new graphics amplifier for boosting your laptop’s graphics by way of an external box. Let’s see if the new Alienware 15 adds up to being the gaming laptop of choice at this size.

The one area where Alienware has seldom let itself down is in the design of its products, and it hasn’t tripped up on this occasion either, assuming you’re a fan of having an alien head on the lid of your laptop, of course.

The signature of these latest models with battery like DELL PT6V8 Battery, DELL KR-08P6X6 Battery, DELL T7YJR Battery, DELL 312-0984 Battery, DELL DKK25 Battery, DELL Alienware M11X R1 Battery, DELL Alienware M11X Battery, DELL Alienware M14X R1 Battery, DELL Alienware M14X Battery, DELL Alienware P06T Battery, DELL Alienware M11X R3 Battery, DELL 8P6X6 Battery is a combination of carbon fibre and aluminium for their construction. The latter covers the whole top surface of the lid, while the former is hidden away in the machine’s construction, below a coating of lovely soft-touch black covering the whole outside.

Available starting from £1099 the Alienware 15 starts off with an Intel Core i5-4210H processor, 8GB of RAM, an Nvidia GeForce GTX 965M graphics card and 1TB hard drive. This then rises through our spec – Intel Core i7-4710HQ, 128GB SSD + 1TB HDD, Nvidia GeForce GTX 970M – for £1322 then up to the top-spec model that swaps the Nvidia graphics card for an AMD Radeon HD R9 295X.

All models come with the same 1920 x 1080 LCD screen that’s an IPS panel with a matte, anti-glare finish and 300-nits brightness. This can also be swapped out for a 4K (3860 x 2146) touchscreen panel for an extra £300. They all also come with Killer wireless networking and a choice of either Windows 8.1 or Windows 7.

Battery life is always of debatable concern for larger gaming laptops, but it’s always good to know you can survive for a few hours away from a socket when the need arises.

Thankfully, then, the Alienware 15 will last 5 hours and 37 minutes, according to our PowerMark test, which simulates watching video and browsing the web with the screen at 40% brightness. This isn’t entirely class leading, but comfortably outpaces the majority which tend to struggle to get past four hours.

The Alienware 15 is a very accomplished premium gaming laptop. It combines a stylish and well build chassis with a great selection of features for a pretty reasonable price.

Performance wise it’s a powerhouse and exactly what you’d expect for the price, plus Alienware offers a decent selection of configuration options to get the right price/performance balance for your needs. It has also provided easy access to the key upgradable components so doing your upgrades later on is an easy option.

Normally upgrade potential is limited by the fact CPUs and GPUs in laptops are fixed but here the latter can also be upgraded via the optional Alienware graphics amplifier. We’re yet to try it ourselves but there’s definitely potential for a cheap graphics upgrade down the line.

Ergonomically the Alienware 15 is great too with an excellent screen, keyboard and trackpad and a decent selection of connectivity.

In other words, “yes”. Yes, you should buy the Alienware 15.

Dell Inspiron 15 7567 Laptop Review

Dell Inspiron 15 7567 Laptop Review

Welcome to a Biomedical Battery specialist of the DELL Laptop Battery

Most gaming laptops follow a similar blueprint: flashy design, loud, heavy, and expensive. These laptops will usually cost you well over $1,000... until now. The Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming (7567), Dell's new gaming laptop for 2017, surprised us with remarkable power at an affordable price.

This laptop with battery such as DELL 62VNH Battery, DELL 89JW7 Battery, DELL 9HRXJ Battery, DELL F7HVR Battery, DELL 451-BBEN Battery, DELL 451-BBEO Battery, DELL 451-BBJY Battery, DELL 451-BBLJ Battery, DELL G4YJM Battery, DELL T2T3J Battery, DELL Y1FGD Battery, DELL Inspiron 7537 Battery might not be the most powerful machine in the world, but for a starting price of $849—with street prices already dropping to $749—it's a steal. This laptop runs newer titles like Overwatch on medium to high settings, and older games on high to ultra high settings. With a modern NVIDIA 1050 GPU, this laptop handles modern games with relative ease.

Of course, Dell did cut some corners to get the price down. The display is lacking, with narrow viewing angles and washed out colors. Also, one thing Dell didn't trim is the weight; this is still a six pound beast you won't want to lug to classes all day. But, aside from a few minor nitpicks, it's the best gaming laptop at this price point.

The Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming (7567) comes in hibiscus red and matte black and there are four different models all together. Aside from additional RAM and a better processor, there are only slight variations between the models. We tested the entry-level model, which comes very well-equipped and has an MSRP of $849 (though we've already seen it on sale for under $800). Here are the base specs from Dell:

•7th Generation Intel® Core™ i5-7300HQ Quad Core
•8GB RAM (upgradeable to 32GB)
•NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1050 with 4GB GDDR5
•15.6-inch FHD (1920 x 1080) Anti-glare LED-Backlit Display
•Windows 10 Home 64-bit English
•Backlit Keyboard
•3 USB 3.0 ports
•1 HDMI port
•256GB SSD

What you're really paying for is the graphics card. The NVIDIA 1050 is capable of running competitive eSports games like Overwatch or newer games in full HD. But this is a laptop GPU, so it's not quite as powerful as the newer desktop GPUs from NVIDIA, because it's stuck in a small case and has to run off of battery power.

After five hours of running videos, the battery finally breathed its last breath. That's not great—and would be even worse if you were playing games instead of watching videos—but it's not bad for a gaming laptop. Gaming laptops are laptops, but they're only designed to be more mobile than desktops. Gaming off the battery alone isn't recommended anyway, since the CPU and GPU typically won't go all-out if not plugged into the wall.

If you're looking for a budget gaming laptop, you can't get much better than this. For a starting price of $849 (street price closer to $749), this laptop can handle day-to-day tasks and run modern games on medium to high settings. On top of that, the design is really attractive. It's bulky, for sure, but it has the look of an expensive laptop.

That said, Dell cut some corners with the display and trackpad. Both were super annoying to deal with, but you can get around them with external devices like a mouse and monitor. Personally, if I needed a budget gaming laptop, I'd go with this one. It's not the greatest laptop in the world, but it's a great value for the price.

Dell Latitude E7440 Laptop

Dell Latitude E7440 Laptop

Welcome to a Biomedical Battery specialist of the DELL Laptop Battery

Ultrabooks dominate the laptop landscape, with hundreds of machines available that are slim, light and fast enough to include one of Intel’s prestigious stickers beside their keyboards. Dell’s Latitude E7440 is designed for business rather than pleasure, and its £1,504 price suggests this machine – which slots inside Dell’s Latitude 7000-series with battery like DELL 34GKR Battery, DELL F38HT Battery, DELL G95J5 Battery, DELL 451-BBFY Battery, DELL PFXCR Battery, DELL T19VW Battery, DELL 909H5 Battery, DELL 451-BBFV Battery, DELL Latitude E7440 Battery, DELL Latitude E7420 Battery, DELL 3RNFD Battery, DELL Latitude E7450 Battery – will only fit in the swankiest of boardrooms.

This isn’t the only laptop intended for the office, though. The Sony VAIO Pro 13 is impossibly slim and light, and the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon brings a famous business brand to the table and is soon to be updated with the X1 Carbon 2014 model. Sony’s machine is much cheaper than the Latitude – but the ThinkPad is more expensive. Is the E7440 the perfect man in the middle?

The Latitude isn’t clad in eye-catching brushed metal and doesn’t taper to a millimetre-thin tip, but that doesn’t mean it’s got ugly, function-over-form design.

The base uses dark, powder-coated aluminium that feels comfortable and looks polished, the wrist-rest is finished with black soft-touch material, and the lid shines thanks to silver-coloured metal. The only show of excess comes from the brushed aluminium used for the hinge.

Business machines need to be sturdy, and the Latitude didn’t disappoint. It’s built using what Dell calls a “tri-metal chassis”, which is an underlying frame made from anodised aluminium, magnesium alloy and steel. It works: we barely moved the wrist-rest, the base wouldn’t budge, and the lid only flexed a little when twisted. It’s as good as the Lenovo, and stronger than the flimsy Sony.

The Latitude includes a removable 47Wh battery, but there are no options to fit this machine with larger units. At least it’s possible to buy secondary 47Wh batteries, which cost £107. If that’s a little too much, then 34Wh batteries are available for £90.

The Dell lasted for six hours and four minutes in our PowerMark test. It’s a reasonable score that’s an improvement on the Lenovo, but it’s not able to topple the six hours 30 minutes of the Sony VAIO Pro 13 – and it can’t match the longevity of the MacBook Air, either.

We plugged the laptop back in and measured the battery after thirty minutes on charge. The Dell filled 31% of its power pack during this time, which isn’t far behind the Sony but a long way behind the Lenovo, which has a speedy charging system that charges up to 77% in just 30 minutes.

The Latitude excels in several important areas. Its components are the match of its rivals, the screen has a high-resolution, great brightness and a matte finish, and it’s got excellent ergonomics and connectivity. It’s all contained inside a chassis that’s one of the sturdiest on the market – a key attribute for a business machine.

The screen’s mediocre colour accuracy means the panel doesn’t have the all-round quality of the Sony, though, and its battery didn’t last quite as long as the VAIO. Lenovo’s machine has a better keyboard and trackpoint.

The price, too, is a sticking point. The Dell is around £500 more expensive than the flimsier Sony, and the ThinkPad isn’t much pricier – but, if we craved a high-quality keyboard, we’d pay the difference.

It’s a three-way battle for the title of “best business Ultrabook”, and the Dell is a top contender – anyone who buys this machine will not be disappointed. Examine your priorities before you take the plunge, though; the Latitude is a powerful, well-made all-rounder, but the lighter Sony has a superior screen, and the Lenovo has a slightly better keyboard.

Dell Precision 5520 Laptop

Dell Precision 5520 Laptop

Welcome to a Biomedical Battery specialist of the DELL Laptop Battery

Dell's XPS 15 is one of our favorite laptops, thanks to its luxurious carbon-fiber-and-aluminum chassis, its colorful InfinityEdge display and its powerful performance. But what if you want the benefits of Dell's best consumer laptops, but need the power of a mobile workstation for professional 3D modeling, CAD or other intense tasks?

Enter the Dell Precision 5520 (starting at $1,399, tested at $2,659) with battey such as DELL 62VNH Battery, DELL 89JW7 Battery, DELL 9HRXJ Battery, DELL F7HVR Battery, DELL 451-BBEN Battery, DELL 451-BBEO Battery, DELL 451-BBJY Battery, DELL 451-BBLJ Battery, DELL G4YJM Battery, DELL T2T3J Battery, DELL Y1FGD Battery, DELL Inspiron 7537 Battery. It has the same chassis, screen and keyboard as the XPS 15, but packs the performance that a professional animator or engineer might need, including an optional 7th Generation Intel Xeon processor and Nvidia Quadro graphics. Add in excellent battery life, and the Dell Precision 5520 is the 15-inch workstation to beat.

The Precision 5520 has the same exact design as the company's gorgeous XPS 15 consumer laptop. Under its machined aluminum lid sits a luxurious carbon-fiber body, complete with a patterned, soft-touch deck that feels great against your wrists as you type. A nearly bezel-free InfinityEdge display completes this premium look and feel.

Weighing 4.4 pounds and measuring 0.7 inches thick, the Dell Precision 5520 is lighter than the HP ZBook Studio G3 (4.6 pounds, 0.7 inches) and thinner than the Lenovo ThinkPad P50 (5.8 pounds, 1.2 inches). The nearly identical XPS 15 weighs 4.6 pounds and is the same thickness.

Dell placed the Precision's Thunderbolt 3 port, headphone jack, HDMI port and first USB 3.0 port on the left side of the notebook. The laptop's SD memory reader, second USB 3.0 port and security lock slot are on its right.

The Precision 5520 configuration I tested is a multitasker's dream machine, featuring a blazing-fast 3.0-GHz Intel Xeon E3-1505M v6 CPU and 32GB of RAM. I didn't notice any latency when I split my screen between a streaming 1080p YouTube video and 15 Chrome tabs (including TweetDeck, Slack and Google Docs). It retained its speed and responsiveness when I added a Windows Defender full system scan, though its fans got a bit loud.

The Precision 5520's Intel Xeon E3 v6 processor is designed to provide desktop workstation performance in a laptop. The speedy CPU enabled Dell's laptop to earn a fantastic score of 15,437 on the Geekbench 3, which eclipses the scores from the v5 Xeon E3-1505M-powered ZBook Studio G3 (14,276), the ThinkPad P50 (13,378) and the average for mainstream notebooks (8,351).

You won't need to take along the Precision 5520's power cable for every single excursion. The workstation lasted an epic 11 hours and 57 minutes on the Laptop Mag Battery Test (continuous web browsing over Wi-Fi).

It easily beat the ZBook Studio G3 (5:08), the ThinkPad P50 (8:25) and the mainstream average (6:54). The Dell XPS 15, which we tested with a more power-hungry 4K display, lasted for 8 hours and 23 minutes.

The entry-level, $1,399 Precision 5520 includes a 2.8-GHz Core i5-7440 CPU, 8GB of RAM, Intel HD Graphics, a 1920 x 1080-pixel display, a 500GB, 7,200-rpm hard drive and a 3-cell (56Wh) battery.

Our test unit costs $2,659 and features a 3.0-GHz Intel Core Xeon E3-1505M v6 processor, an Nvidia Quadro M1200 GPU with 4GB of memory, 32GB of RAM, a M.2 PCIe 512GB SSD and a 6-cell (97 Wh) battery. It costs $299 to upgrade to a QHD 3840 x 2160-pixel touch screen.

Both beauty and the beast, the Dell Precision 5520 packs a vivid display and super-powerful processor into a slim and sexy chassis. Epic battery life is the cherry on top of this tasty cake. The only real knock against the notebook is the placement of its webcam, which leads to Skype calls where you're making people look at your knuckles and up your nose.

Dell Inspiron 11 3000 Review

Dell Inspiron 11 3000 Review

Welcome to a Biomedical Battery specialist of the DELL Laptop Battery

You'll be surprised by what you can get for $199 these days. Take the candy-colored Dell Inspiron 11 3000, an 11-inch notebook with epic battery life and solid audio. The display is on the dim side, but overall, this Dell is a great choice for a secondary machine or your kid's first PC.

Dell makes the plastic Inspiron 11 3000 with battery like DELL 451-BBFS Battery, DELL G0G2M Battery, DELL 5K1GW Battery, DELL 451-BBFX Battery, DELL Inspiron 15 7537 Battery, DELL Inspiron 17 7737 Battery, DELL Inspiron N7537 Battery, DELL Inspiron N7746 Battery, DELL Inspiron N7737 Battery, DELL Latitude E7420 Battery, DELL Inspiron 7737 Battery, DELL 2CP9F Battery in kid-friendly red, white and blue designs. We tested the former, which is a shade that reminds me of a kid's race-car bed.

The notebook's glossy lid attracts as many eyes as fingerprints (tons) with a matte, off-tone Dell logo in the center of its lid. Inside, the power button is located near the top-right corner of a recessed full-size keyboard.

At this price, it would be very hard to find a laptop that offers longer battery life than the Inspiron 11. The notebook lasted 13 hours and 39 minutes on the Laptop Mag Battery Test (web browsing at 100 nits), which beats the runtimes of the Ideapad 110S (7:22) and the Chromebook 11 (10:38).

The Inspiron 11 3000 comes in two configurations, and the company offers both in red, white and blue designs. The $199 entry-level model we tested packs an Intel Celeron N3060 CPU, 2GB of RAM and a 32GB eMMC hard drive. Dell also sells the notebook with 4GB of RAM for $249.

We're astonished to see 13-plus hours of battery life from a $199 laptop, as well as audio that sounds this sweet. And while I don't love the display, it's acceptable at this price. If you can live within the limits of Chrome OS, an alternative would be the $229 Acer Chromebook 11 N7, which offers an excellent keyboard and similar performance. The Lenovo Ideapad 110S is currently on sale for $159, though it doesn't last as long on a single charge. Overall, the Dell Inspiron 11 3000 is a smart choice for users with modest demands and tight budgets.

Philips Affiniti 70 Doppler Ultrasound

Philips Affiniti 70 Doppler Ultrasound

Welcome to a Laptop Battery specialist of the Philips Battery

The Philips Affiniti 70 is the successor to Philips’ popular HD15 shared service color Doppler ultrasound machine. It’s designed as a “budget” shared service ultrasound, and includes an architecture based on its premium EPIQ series of ultrasound machines, offering some of its best technology to those with tighter budgets.

This architecture and easy-to-use interface allow the Affiniti 70 to handle high volume while providing solid image quality, giving you both the performance and workflow you need for quick, confident diagnosis.

Clinical Imaging With the Philips Affiniti 70

The Affiniti 70 with battery like Philips VM1 Battery, Philips VSI Battery, Aspect BIS Vista Battery, Edanins ECG-12A Battery, Edanins HYHB-1188 Battery, Fukuda BTE-001 Battery, Fukuda FX-8222 Battery, Mindray LI13I001A Battery, Mindray IMEC8 Battery, Mindray IMEC10 Battery, Mindray IPM12 Battery, Mindray IEMEC12 Battery differs slightly from the Affiniti 50, as it has a few other technologies, such as Shear Wave Elastography as well as Strain elastography.

With regards to ultrasound probes, the Philips Affiniti 70 ultrasound supports a wide range of small, lightweight transducers. As a complete shared service ultrasound, it has 4D obstetric imaging, ShearWave elastography, and provides both adult and pediatric echocardiography (including TEE) and stress echo, ideal for the following clinical applications:

  • Abdominal
  • Obstetrical
  • Fetal echo
  • Abdominal vascular
  • Gynecoligical and fertility
  • Musculoskeletal
  • Echocardiology
  • Surgicial imaging
  • Elastography

Balance of Advanced Ergonomic Design and Precise Engineering

The Affiniti 70 ultrasound is also designed to help you work more comfortably and efficiently. With a 21.5″ articulating fold-down LCD screen and touchscreen tablet-like user interface, the Affiniti 70 has a simplified user interface for “walk-up” usability, helping make it ideal for busy offices with multiple users.

Some of the leading performance technologies found in the Affiniti 70 ultrasound include:

  • PureWave transducer technology that allows for deeper probe penetration in both technically difficult and easy patients
  • Tissue-Specific presets combine transducer optimization for specific exams as well as precision beamforming for excellent image quality
  • Support for both strain and shear wave elastography to assess tissue stiffness
  • Auto Doppler
  • AutoSCAN
  • SmartExam

You can also achieve dynamic organ and tumor assessments in real-time, 2D anatomical intelligence, and a lightweight design of 184 pounds that allows for easy transport.

Providian Medical’s Philips Affiniti 70 Ultrasound Review

The Affiniti 70 replaces the popular Philips HD15 ultrasound machine as a budget mid-range ultrasound machine. It has great image quality and is an excellent choice for those who don’t need a truly premium ultrasound in their department.

The Affiniti is smaller and weighs less than the premium ultrasound machines and has a much lower price than the Philips EPIQ series of ultrasounds.

uConnect remote capabilities let you wirelessly connect this ultrasound system for upgrades, support, service, and collaboration.

Providian Medical Terason uSmart 3300 Review

Terason was smart to move away from the once-popular MacBook Pro Design. This is a more durable solution that makes it more friendly to Point-of-Care applications and broadens its overall market. Terason has long been known as one of the better ultrasound machines for superficial imaging, and the new design takes Terason forward into this highly competitive market.

Additionally, as of 2015 Terason is back to offering its 5-year warranty, which it once stepped away from and hurt its overall market share.

Nihon Kohden Access Neuromonitoring System

Welcome to a Biomedical Battery specialist of the Nihon Kohden Battery

Nihon Kohden, a provider of medical instrumentation solutions, has commercially launched Live View Panel, a virtual care system that allows for simultaneous remote neuromonitoring of patients in real time from a centralized location.

Using Live View Panel, clinicians can customize multiple electroencephalography (EEG) or polysomnography (PSG) acquisition systems with battery such as Nihon Kohden BSM-2353C Battery, Nihon Kohden BSM-2301K Battery, Nihon Kohden BSM-2351C Battery, Nihon Kohden BSM-2303C Battery, Alaris Medicalsystems SIGNATURE 2 Battery, Alaris Medicalsystems 7000 Battery, Alaris Medicalsystems 7100 Battery, Alaris Medicalsystems 7130 Battery, Alaris Medicalsystems 7200 Battery, JMS 7N-1200SCK Battery to gather data critical for each monitored patient. The information is displayed on a single, interactive control screen, with one-click access to clinically relevant information to help speed interpretation and improve outcomes.

According to the company, its goal is to facilitate integrated care delivery so that patients receive high-quality care regardless of their physical location. With Live View Panel, physicians in the neuroscience community can connect directly to patients wherever they are, improving access, and enhancing safety and clinician workflow.

Developed in collaboration with Cleveland Clinic, the Live View Panel is comprised of a control screen and several adjacent data display screens. The control screen organizes patient information into color-coded “cards” based on variables such as patient location, acuity level, physician, or data modality, allowing a clinician to monitor basic parameters of multiple patients simultaneously. With one touch to any card, clinicians can access more detailed patient-specific data on an adjacent screen. The cards can also be rearranged via drag and drop to suit clinician preference and workflow.

Data in the EEG cards includes patient identifier, location field, monitoring status, heart rate, saturation of peripheral oxygen (SpO2), as well as seizure count and seizure trend. PSG cards display apnea-hypopnea index, total sleep time, body position, continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP), and heart rate, SpO2 and sleep state with trend options. Audio and video can be played or displayed remotely from either acquisition system. Key information can also be provided on a Live View Panel at the local nurse’s station for additional oversight.
